Brief Introduction

 

    Guilin is a famous city of historical interest at the northeast of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The local food of Guilin has strong taste and the color is bright. Stewing and steaming are the common ways of cooking and hot pepper is widely used. Wild plants and animals are often found in Guilin dishes. The most famous dishes include Stewed Clam Chicken and Steamed Mandarin Fish from Lijiang River.
